ok actually got some shit accomplished tonight, got the 1j up on the engine stand, ordered wheels, and got my front 5 lug and front brakes. It took me almost 2 hours to seperate the engine from the transmission cause of toyotas retardedness of using a pull-type clutch, which means the clutch fork has to come out before the trans will come off of the input shaft, this was my first experience with this setup and i HATE it... im already looking into a way to convert to a push type clutch design using a tilton hydraulic throw out bearing and a different pressure plate.

    anyways, on to pics.

now time for something completely unrelated to my build!!!

Oh and heres a little something for you SRT lovers out there, record breaking neon thats collecting dust at the shop. serious workmanship involved in this thing and alot of $$$$

got the intake mani off tonight, removed wiring harness and ac condenser, organized all my parts and bolts and such into zip lock baggies and storage bins so i can keep track of all my shit. ordered 2jz water pump, 1jz gasket set, timing belt, and serpentine belt... all of which should be here end of this week or beginning of next week. hoping to have the motor built back up and ready to roll by the end of next week.

oh and wheels will be here tomorrow... ended up going with a different wheel. ill post pics tomorrow night

Love the rims. Much better than the mustang knock offs you were thinking about.

those are jdm s14 brakes (same thing as z32s so im told) and i got the s14 knuckles, calipers, rotors, and 5 lug hubs all as one deal...... and i didnt pay very much for them lol.

as far as power goals go, im planning on running around 15psi on the stock twins, via AEM EMS. This should put me in the 320-340whp range. I dont really need the aem box to make that amount of power on the twins, the main reason why Im running it is becasue of the tons and tons of other options I have with it... not to mention it makes the wiring much easier and allows me to remove several BS sensors that the factory ecu needs.

decided to pull off inlet tube to my turbos the other day, and the rear turbo (in my opinion) had waaaay too much shaft play to be considered safe for daily thrashing...
